We Build What Lasts.
No temporary programs. No short-term fixes. The Ember Alliance exists to build permanent infrastructure where young people play, learn, compete, and grow — for generations.
Why We Exist
To ignite the potential of youth by providing access to sports, S.T.E.A.M. education, and esports through permanent, purpose-built community infrastructure.
The Ember Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to constructing and operating a multi-use youth development campus in Cynthiana, Kentucky. Through three integrated program pillars — sports, S.T.E.A.M. education, and esports — we provide young people with safe spaces, modern facilities, expert mentorship, and real career pathways.
The Future We Are Building
We envision a purpose-built campus that becomes the heart of youth opportunity in our region — a place where a young person can shoot hoops in the morning, build a robot in the afternoon, and compete in an esports tournament that evening. All on the same campus. All supported by caring adults who invest in their futures.
Our vision is a community where every young person has access to world-class facilities and programming regardless of their family's income, their zip code, or their background. The campus will serve as a model for rural youth development that can be replicated in communities across America.
Why It Matters
In rural and underserved communities across America, young people face a stark reality: limited access to safe recreational spaces, outdated or nonexistent facilities, and few pathways from passion to career. Too many kids have nowhere to go after school, nowhere to develop their talents, and no adults invested in their growth.
The Ember Alliance exists to change that equation permanently. Not with a grant-funded program that disappears in three years, but with brick-and-mortar infrastructure that stands for decades. We believe that when you build the right place, the right programs follow — and the right outcomes become inevitable.
Our Approach
Four principles that guide every decision we make.
Access for Everyone
No kid gets left out because of zip code or family income. Sliding-scale fees, scholarship programs, and free community events ensure every young person can walk through our doors.
Permanent Infrastructure
We are not building a pop-up program. We are building a campus — courts, labs, arenas, and gathering spaces that belong to the young people who use them for generations.
Career-Connected
Every program connects to real careers. S.T.E.A.M. labs teach workforce-ready skills. Esports develops media production and broadcasting expertise. Sports builds discipline, teamwork, and leadership.
Community-Centered
Built by the community, for the community. Local partnerships, local hiring, and local impact that ripples outward. Every decision starts with one question: does this serve our young people and families?
What We Are Building Toward
Concrete goals that drive our work every day.
Build the Campus
Construct a 466,000+ square foot multi-use youth development campus featuring a 356,000 sq ft sports complex, an 88,000 sq ft S.T.E.A.M. & Esports Center, and community headquarters — all fully ADA accessible with sensory-friendly environments throughout. Every program is equally valued and every young person belongs.
Serve 2,500+ Youth Annually
Once operational, deliver year-round programming to at least 2,500 young people each year through sports leagues, S.T.E.A.M. workshops, esports competitions, and community events.
Create Career Pathways
Develop workforce pipelines that connect youth programming to real employment in technology, skilled trades, media production, sports management, and beyond.
Ensure Accessibility & Inclusion
All facilities are fully ADA accessible with sensory-friendly rooms available. Programming is designed to welcome every young person regardless of ability, background, or experience level.
